DESCRIPTION
SALONI, a Spanish manufacturer of ceramic wall and floor tiles, built their first showroom in France in 2006. Consistent with their established marketing policy in Spain, they chose a large 1000 m2 commercial space, located in a major urban center, 89-91 rue de Faubourg St. Honore, in the 8th arrondissement in Paris.
SALONI France engaged ATELA ARCHITECTES as the architect of record to follow up and assist in overseeing construction, obtaining permits, producing code and regulation documents, and consulting with the building companies.
The floor space of the existing building was divided into multiple office and service spaces by the previous tenant, a bank services company. After demolition, Atela Architectes coordinated the implementation of their work with that of Solanis showroom designers, successfully integrating Salonis display requirements within the limitations of the space.
Demolition, construction, modifications to the façade, and the final finishes were completed over the course of the year.
